I recently got the opportunity to share a few boxes of Just For Men® Autostop™ and thought I’d share a brief review of it as tested by my step-dad.
Just For Men® Autostop™ is an ammonia-free & peroxide-free hair coloring system for men that doesn’t require any mixing, includes a comb applicator, and AUTOMATICALLY stops at the color target 10 minutes.
I gave a box of Autostop in Real Black to my step-dad who was willing to try it on his salt & pepper hair. The box came with a tube of haircolor (no bottles to mix!), a comb applicator, plastic glove, and of course instructions.
After attaching the comb applicator to the tube step-dad squeezed a bit of the colorant up to the comb. The color initially appeared as a tan , but quickly progressed to a black color (possibly due to oxidation by exposure to air).
Unfortunately, being the camera-shy guy that he is, my step-dad refused to be pictured with his head covered with the hair-color. His thoughts on the products: although it was fairly easy to use, the comb applicator was too small for his liking since he aimed to color is entire head, not just minimal or spot coloring like sideburns. Also, there wasn’t enough product to color his entire head- his hair is not long, but it isn’t on the very short side either, so for him it would require 2 tubes of color. However, where he did apply, it turned his hair to a nice black color, and we can only assume that it “shut off” after ten minutes, because really how much more blacker could it really go?
