I won’t describe myself as a paranormal romance fiction fanatic, but I do gravitate to that genre of fiction more than any other (I have Sherrilyn Kenyon to thank for that) whenever I’m looking for new reads. I like reading this genre so much that I have an insane number of titles in various wish lists and on hold for me at my local library.
I stepped into the public library today to pick up some of my holds (for my 9-yr old) and what did I see? A (book) truck load of paperback romance novels at 25¢ each! The Friends of Salt Lake Library has a lil’ corner near the library entrance where they set-up ‘shop’ to sell weeded out books as well as unneeded donations to raise money to help with the library’s budget. I got all giddy and made it my first stop instead of my usual visit to the new book shelf. Upon a quick glance I found quite a number of paranormal romance books and was excited to find many from authors that I have books on my library holds or wish list!
After going through entire truck I picked up a total of 13 books for just $3.25. What a deal, and especially a steal since most are like new! At first I was hesitant to buy the ones that I could borrow for free from the library, but I thought, ‘why when the copies I’d be reading would be so used and worn out, whereas these are in great condition?’

The authors I picked are Nina Bangs, Kresley Cole, Emma Holly, Brenda Joyce, Angela Knight, Cheyenne McCray, Karen Marie Moning, Eve Silver, Kerrelyn Sparks, Susan Squires, and one with Jacquelyn Frank, Kate Douglas, Jess Haines, & Claire Willis.
These (as well as all the ebooks I have on my iPad) should keep engaged for a while!
Do you like to read? If so, what do you like?
